Is Canadian history one big peacemaking party? Or is there more to the story, perhaps a few pages ripped out of your history textbook?

Join us on October 2nd at 7pm in RCH 301 for They Came in Ships: Settler Colonialism from Turtle Island to Palestine. This will be a moderated panel discussion event exploring comparisons between projects of settler colonialism across territories, with an emphasis on Canadian and Israeli settler colonialism.

and Global Studies professor Sara Matthews (WLU)

There will be lots of opportunity for audience engagement during the Q&A and after the event in a more informal setting..

This is a free event (please register) and we hope you will join us for further conversation with the speakers over refreshments after the event.

Event cosponsored by WPIRG’s Palestine Solidarity Action Group and Grand River Indigenous Solidarity
